I’ve been following a righteous Brooklyn organization called Global Soles for awhile now. Their mission has been to provide donated footwear- a basic life necessity in the modern world- to Haitian children in need. They’ve been doing that excellently, and in the aftermath of the severe conditions created by the earthquake they’ve expanded the mission accordingly. I’ll simply relay this following message from Rotimi Akinnuoye of Global Soles:

I can promise you that these (below) organizations will do the right thing. Yele is run by Wyclef, I’ve personally spoken to him about his work and he is sincere. Amhe is an organization of Haitian physicians that I’ve traveled with and worked with for about 8 years now. Global Soles is Global Soles. Continue to pray and work. I see this as a great opportunity for Haiti. I think Haiti will finally get the attention and help it deserves. The future of Haiti is bright. I’m optimistic that great things will come out of this.
