A new kids’ show about a mouse-crew that plays music, skates, and rights wrongs. I think it’s well-animated, exquisitely dialogued – superb sound, and I want a Rastamouse ornament for the studio.

Before the drum machines, synthesizers, BMX bikes, record collections, and making out with girls- I was a lil’ pip-squeak who’d wake up earlier before I had to go to grade school in order to watch re-runs of an imaginative claymation show called Gumby.
I made my first computer graphic art ever on an Apple 2E of Gumby, and later in junior high wood shop class I made a carving of his unique shaped head that still exists in the family art collection. It was only when I got older and deeper into into music and art did I retroactively realize how cool the sound design was in Gumby, and how complex & trippy some of the action was.
I just learned that Art Clokey, creator of Gumby has died. If I had an afro, I’d totally cut it into a ‘Gumby’ shape as a tribute this week. I’d like to think I approach the world with a little clay dot more of creativity because of my childhood Gumby watching.
Time for me to ‘walk’ back in to what I was working on.

Since H1N1 was declared a national emergency today in the US I’ve decided to post a little educational vid about how the flu virus gets in you. It’s very well animated and little grody, but c’mon, a zillion of you freaks ran out to see Saw VI yesterday so this should be nothing:
This post is also dedicated to all of you wack jobs actively protesting against the H1N1 vaccine. Step away from the computer- your logic is irreparably fractured- go sit in the corner.

Sound is the universal great power for this robot, who transforms from clumsy kid-saucer into a Mazinga-like mega-hulk with a Flying-V Keytar by yelling “system change!” He then pops different lettered CDs into his chest and rocks all challengers by doing something humongous with sound waves, waves so powerful they could destroy a planet if not careful. Check the clips where he plays the cables on the Tower Bridge and another where he rejuvinates some injured robots with his galactic Karaoke.
