This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of the death of the great James S. Moran, a man The New York Times rightfully called The Master of the Publicity stunt. If you think like I think, his one page obituary is more inspiring than some people’s whole biography. Check out this chronology of Mr. Moran’s publicity stunts and you tell me who’s the master- definitely not Richard Heene (the balloon boy’s dad).

In 1946, Moran sat on an ostrich egg for over two weeks until it hatched to promote the film "The Egg and I". Yes that's an ostrich feather hat. Photo from AP
Seen or heard any good P-Stunts lately besides balloon boy? Does involving children raise ethical concerns? Were you skeptical of some press releases ? Post post!
