Earlier this year, when word about the Beat Kangz Electronics “Beat Thang” music machine hit the net, I wrote a post based on what little details I had at the time. Like many, I was excited about it and a skeptic at the same time. I’ve come to totally respect what this company is going for, and if the box is everything they say it will be then it’ll be a classic piece of gear no doubt that I would buy in a second. The Kangz announced today that there will be a delay in releasing the hardware Beat Thang due to to continuing improvements in the design, software enhancements, procurement of better components, and other extraneous variables. Release date is now TBA.

Anything worth banging is worth waiting for right?

We all love independent music, independent art, mom & pop shops, farmers markets, etc… and here is a true indie-gear company ran by Hip-Hop heads set to make some traction in a marketplace dominated by a few giants and I think it’s great- big ups to Beat Kangz and I wish them the best for a smooth rollout of what looks to be a keeper. Cancel the hate and wait for the date!
